He was one of the five winners of the 2015 inaugural Festival of Ideas competition organised by the Gordon Institute of Business Science department of Social Entrepreneurship looking for the best candidate with the best idea that impact the community.
He is the Africa Partner of Global Startup Awards and the Founder & CEO of Southern Africa Startup Awards. The Global Startup Awards provides an annual spotlight focus to web/tech startups in regions across the globe. Mckevin is also a music lover and enthusiast who is passionate about promoting upcoming artists and because of that, he founded Make A Difference Productions (MAD Productions) in 2015. MAD Productions is an artist development and Artist Management company with a mission to create events that fosters creative minds, music, fashion and entrepreneurship programs for artists which includes daily practice, creating and recording music, performances, growing your fanbase, developing your image online, and handling business and tax paperwork.
He is a staunch advocate for education & is personally committed to empowering the youth, and helping them reach their full potential. Over the years, he has dedicated his time to mentoring & supporting the underprivileged. The House of Hope orphanage with over 30 kids he co-founded in 2013 was born out of his dedication to social justice.
Mckevin is an MCSE, CISSP & an IT Consultant by profession with a graduate degree in entrepreneurship coupled with multiple certifications in Information Technology and Startup Ecosystems building.
